“From National
De-Certification
to the Next Generation of Leadership”
Challenge:
Revitalize moribund local chapter of land use and real estate
professionals in debt and in danger of losing national certification.
Strategy: Conducted
research among key leaders, members, prospects, and competitive
chapters. Identified key problems and implemented new systems
for sponsorship, programming and membership. Established working
committees. Increased communication via monthly email newsletters.
Identified target groups and designed strategic programming to
appeal to them. Revamped sponsorship criteria and pricing, and
communicated benefits.
Results: Over
12 months: tripled sponsorship revenues and doubled the number
of sponsoring members and affiliates. Increased membership (and
corresponding revenues) by 40 percent. Developed partnerships
with related organizations. Chapter now on solid financial ground
and nationally recognized as one of top performers.
